PROPOSED RUMBLE STRIPS ON THE ROADS LEADING INTO THE VILLAGE
Durrus & District Community Council recently met with Cork County engineer Ruth O'Brien to discuss the possibility of installing rumble strips on the approach to Durrus on the Goleen, Kilcrohane and Bantry roads to try to alert drivers to moderate their speed through the village. The locations deemed most suitable and effective were just before the bridge on the Goleen road and just inside the 50km speed limit signs on the Bantry and Kilcrohane roads. There are yellow markings on the roads to show the locations. If you have any concerns about the installation of rumble strips at these locations, please send in writing to the following address; The Secretary, Durrus & District Community Council, Durrus.
